How We Work
We believe home should be a place that inspires presence over perfection.
At Sarah Montgomery Interiors, our design approach begins with observation and analysis– of scale, architecture, flow, and proportion of the space. We collaborate closely with architects and builders to ensure cohesion from spatial planning and architectural integration to finish selections, furnishings, and final layers.
We focus primarily on full-scale renovations and new builds, where we can consider the home in its entirety and create a cohesive design vision across all spaces.
We also take on select projects of a slightly smaller scale when there is strong alignment in scope, aesthetic, and overall vision.
Our work spans interior architecture and decoration, guiding projects from initial concept through final installation.
Utilizing design psychology and color theory, we approach every project as a compositional problem where we balance color, pattern, scale, and material. Selecting each element for balance, texture, and emotional impact.
“Sarah and her team are a delight to work with! We had a largely cosmetic, nearly whole-house project for the Sarah Montgomery Interiors team and they exceeded our expectations. Sarah and the team brought together vintage and new pieces, super fun textiles and lots of color to make our old house feel fresh, new and perfectly us. They did an incredible job taking our input and running with it, putting together concise options that allowed us to execute on the decision-making end quickly and easily. We could not be happier with the end result and would recommend the Sarah Montgomery team a thousand times over.” - Shelby P.
